The Ollie model
Ollie was created to disassociate an issue from a child, to enable the use of child-friendly language about how the mind works and why we feel what we feel, so that we can engage children in change work in a very empowering way.
Ollie allows children to take an active role in working through their issues and uses positive empowerment to support them to be the very best version of themselves.
At the heart of the Ollie concept is a passion and commitment to building the resilience and wellbeing of children. We are dedicated to a strength based approach with a desire to make a real impact on the lives of children.
Ollie and his super powers
We all have different emotions; Ollie calls them Super Powers and teaches us to control which ones to use and when. In that way children get to choose how they want to feel and what Super Powers will be best at getting them through the day. Ollie teaches us to understand why we feel what we feel so that we can decide if we really want to feel that way or feel something else.
Sometimes we use Ollie in sessions, other times we don't but we base our work on the different Super Powers we all have and we can make them bigger and smaller to empower children and young people.
